Hot Stone Massage
full body – 90 minutes
Native Americans, Egyptians and Hawaiians have all used hot stone therapy for centuries. Your massage begins with a soothing gentle massage using oil while the stones are heating and sanitizing. With one heated stone in each hand your therapist applies long, flowing massage strokes which penetrate your body tissue, opening up blood vessels and improving circulation.
Upon completion of each sequence, the therapist lays a stone to rest at chakra points and other key trigger points. The heat from the stones relaxes your muscles and unblocks energy centers. Be sure to inform the therapist if you find the stones too hot for you.

Balinese Massage

Combining different massage techniques – pressure points, palm pressure, sliding and kneading – this massage works deeply on the muscles, leaving the body relaxed. Balinese massage is believed to relieve sleep disorder, muscle pains and sport injuries.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is a therapeutic massage designed to loosen muscles, increase blood flow and relieve stress. Your therapist will skilfully use her elbows and fingers to penetrate all layers of tissue. This therapy breaks down rigid muscle tissue and helps to relieve pain and restore movement. Your therapist uses slow, strong strokes that stimulate and revive deep muscle tissue.
Please be aware that you may experience some mild discomfort as your tight muscles are kneaded and loosened. For a day or two following a deep tissue massage your muscles may be sore similar to what you experience after an intensive work out. However, the benefits far outweigh this mild discomfort as you will notice more flexibility in previously painful areas as well as a state of harmony and well-being.

Ayurvedic Shirodhara
face, neck and head – 45 minutes
Shirodhara is a treatment used by Indian yogis to enhance self-awareness. At Oneworld Retreats spa, shirodhara restores calm and vital balance to the mind and the nervous system, correcting imbalances of the senses. The treatment is also believed to reduce insomnia.
Shirodhara begins and ends with a face, neck and scalp massage. Once you are totally relaxed, our therapist takes up to 25 minutes to pour warm herbal oil in an even, continuous stream over the 6th chakra point in the centre of your forehead, better known as your “third eye”.
In this liberated state you may meditate deeply or simply abandon yourself to sensation.

Ayurvedic Massage – Chakra Dhara

At Oneworld Retreats spa, only specially trained therapists with a deep spiritual sense perform ayurvedic massage. “Chakra”, a word with Hindu (Sanskrit) roots, refers to key energy points that are universal. All who inhabit physical bodies on the earth have energy vortexes: channels through which spiritual energy flows to manifest in the physical.
The Ayurvedic Chakra Dhara massage is both sensual and spiritual. It includes the dripping of one liter of warm herbal oil onto the chakra points.
Our therapists use this oil ritual to balance the energy flow and purify the body, mind and spirit.
Your therapist skilfully and respectfully treats your body with an array of repetitive and slow movements. Alternatively stimulating and soothing to eliminate toxins and other impurities. This indulgent treatment also promotes circulation, increases flexibility and relieves pain and stiffness.

Ayurvedic Crown Massage
head and shoulders – 45 minutes
Relax upright, supported by your therapist’s hands as they massage warm oil into your head and upper body in a specific, rhythmic rippling motion that dispels tension and allows you to surrender to sensation.
A fresh hibiscus leaf mask is then applied to your hair and your head is wrapped in a banana leaf and an arm massage is performed while you relax for 25 minutes. In the final steps, your therapist’s skilled fingers stimulate circulation to awaken the spirit as the mask is removed and your hair washed and towel or blow dried.
This treatment is recommended for all, especially those who hold tension in the upper body and/or suffer from headaches / migraine. Hibiscus leaves contain vitamin B1, B2 and C.

Bodhypnosis Treatment
A marma activating experience

Bodhypnosis® is a technique that induces an effortless, deep meditative state that triggers the parasympathetic nervous system and allows the body to enter its innate, natural regulative state and start its own healing process. The results are a calmer mind, feeling of being cleansed, connected and at peace with yourself and the world.
This body technique is not to be mixed with the traditional hypnosis of the mind, no effort is required from the recipient. To access trigger points in the body, the therapist applies pressure, gentle compressions, decompressions, vibrations, frictions and rotations. No oil is used for the treatment and you can even wear you own clothes.

Pondicherry Foot Massage

Our feet are constantly asked to perform by taking us where we wish to go in the shoes we choose to wear! Everyone experiences the “tired feet syndrome”, particularly travelers.

Ayurvedic Facial

Using only herbal products, our therapists gently cleanse, steam and exfoliate your skin; manual extraction follows if needed. Throughout the treatment, the therapist incorporates a soothing and uplifting face, neck and shoulder massage. While relaxing under the mask, you will enjoy an arm or lower leg massage. After toner, a moisturizer is applied to maintain moisture levels. Our facials encourage the restoration of youthful vitality and natural radiance of your skin.
